In 2015, Munch-oes founder and sweet enthusiast, Savanna Smith, developed a critique method for decorated sugar cookies while trying to stay afloat with college debt. At just 19 years old, Savanna opened up her first bakery known as The Sweet Retreat. For four years, she grew her bakery and expanded her customer base from El Campo, TX to College Station, TX where she attended Texas A&M University. Having a successful business allowed Savanna to graduate debt free and continue on with her career. She continued to operate The Sweet Retreat while she worked full time. She decided at the end of 2019 she would devote all of her time to her career and decided to close The Sweet Retreat.

In March of 2020, Savanna continued to bake for friends and family and came up with a new bakery product she called, the Munch-O. Taste testing with friends and family led to selling to some of her old customers that use to purchase her decorated sugar cookies. With the demand, she decided to learn the wholesale food market and attempt to sell her products at the wholesale level.

In July of 2020, the Munch-O hit the store shelves of a local convenience store in Hillje, TX and the rest is history!

Since then, Munch-oes bakery has extended its product line not only in the wholesale market, but in the retail market as well. Feel free to follow Munch-oes Bakery on social media and watch Savanna's dream come to life.
